Frankie is maybe the most unusual of our recent rescues. He is clearly a mix between an Airedale and some type of Cur. Frankie has the beard and coat of an Airedale but clearly has some brindle heritage that is seen in his coloring. A Good Samaritan found him and delivered him to the Allen Shelter. An adopter (who only kept Frankie for a couple of days before deciding that puppies weren't for him) surrendered Frankie to TART.
The wonderful Dallas regional team of Lisa and Dan Sheppard took him in on short notice when the adopter threatened to take him back to the pound.
The Sheppard’s described Frankie as a normal smart and sweet natured puppy. They took pictures of Frankie to help find him a forever home and Frankie went from the Sheppard home to the Miller foster family for TART. Frankie has been described by all that cared for him as super sweet and a wonderful playful pup of about 4-5 months old. It was not hard to find a forever family for him.
Frankie gets along with everyone and loves to play. We were able to match the foster homes family of children with the same ages of children in the forever home. Frankie will have children to play with and will be with a family that has good dog experience and a great yard for him. Frankie has come a long way from when he was found abandoned on the road thanks to all the wonderful volunteers that helped Frankie finally find his forever home.
