A donor may wish to make a gift in honor or memoriam of a family member, valued friend, or beloved Airedale.
This method conserves the donor’s cash while helping to avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated securities. The market value of the securities is deductible in the current year’s tax return. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer required, transferring the policy to the Texas Airedale Rescue Team may provide benefits to both Texas Airedale Rescue Team and the donor. The Trust would ultimately collect the policy value and the donor may be entitled to an income tax deduction in the amount of the policy’s value. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
The donor may list The Trust as a beneficiary in their will. The distribution of the estate is then made at the donor’s death.
Many Airedales that come into TART have medical and/or behavioral issues that need addressing. Every dollar you donate helps ensure we can continue to provide the necessary care and support for these Texas Airedale in need of care, re-homing and a second chance at being loved. Texas Airedale Rescue Team is a statewide community of supporters and volunteers passionate about making a difference to the lives of Texas Airedales in need and keeping them out of harm’s way. The dogs come to us for various reasons from strays and shelters, to changes in their owner’s life that may include the death of the owner.
Whatever the reason, we take in surrenders with dignity for those surrendering them and without vindication. After all, It’s All About the Airedales.
