Our Mission

Texas Airedale Rescue Team (TART) was founded in 1991 by four individuals with a single common bond - the love and full adoration of this fantastic breed. We recognize that airedales are a very unique crew, and our goal is to ensure that ALL Texas airedales in need find the very best fit as their forever home.

We're a seasoned team of Airedale lovers who are well versed in their standard shenanigans. It takes a special person to rise to the challenge of such a breed but when you do it successfully, you're rewarded tenfold.

I was on a list to get a rescue puppy when in walked this little rascal who needed a foster and eventually a new home. I wouldn't have thought of adopting an older pup, but I'm so grateful I opened my heart to fostering and quickly failed. I couldn't dream of a sweeter, more loving boy. TART supported me throughout the process and even checked in with me well after we failed our fostering task by never letting this little one go. We are deeply grateful for TART.
